November 2016 QuillDog Litter! (CLOSED!)

I am very happy to announce the pairing of Whitefoxfire's Xero (#115) and WanderingWolverine's Lyla (#157)! The litter produced from this pairing HAS ARRIVED!

Xero is from the April 2016 litter from the pairing of Keira-woof's deity, Sulai (#50) and Star-Waffle's Aasiyah (#27). Xero, originally named Xenul, was the seventh-born in his litter and is a melanistic individual. Unique in his darker coloration; however, his attitude is opposite of his pelt. He is a very bright and cheery, albeit quiet, male, and is good-natured and always tries to encourage his siblings. He yearns to always remain a good individual who helps the world. He is the only pup born without any special abilities, but his attitude makes up for it.

Lyla is from the September 2016 litter from the pairing of Eulas's Aksel (#130) and nocturnalowlet's deity, Lilith (#47). Lyla is the first born and eldest of the litter. She is a lithe beauty to behold; she is confident and a natural leader. She strives for perfection, and seldom settles because of this need for perfection. Full of zeal and life, she isn’t afraid to peer over the edge of a cliff, or throw herself into the sea if required. She is full-hearted and brave.

The resulting pups of this litter are "lesser deities" due to both of their parents having half "deity blood." This is the first time that quilldog grand-pups have been made-- exciting times!

Please note that PNG file sizes are roughly around ~1800 x 1300 pixels, give or take. (A bit smaller than my typical 2000px x 3000px size).This is because it’s difficult to pack 12 pups onto the same sheet LOL!

Pup Descriptions:

1. Ginka, Female. Ginka is the firstborn of the dozen, and is lanky, very poised, regal, serene and graceful.  She honors her parents and is very traditionally-minded. She’s a by-the-book kind of girl, and is well-respected amongst her peers and siblings. Some may confuse her regality for stubbornness.

2. Neptei, Male. Neptei is the second-born of the dozen. He’s somewhat of an outcast among the bunch, and has been known to make haphazard (and even bad) decisions. Although he puts up quite a front, he’s actually a contemplative soul. He doesn’t have many friends, and sometimes makes the wrong friends.

3. Xuzet, Male. Xuzet is the third-born of the dozen, and takes after his father’s melanistic pelt. He often looks up to his brother, Neptei—however Neptei may not be the best role model for him. Xuzet tries desperately to appear dark, brooding, and mysterious, but those close to him can see through the act. He’s got a knack for scaring others, and playing tricks! Xuzet was also only born with one eye.

4. Tana, Female. Tana is the fourth-born of the dozen, and has a diluted pelt. She is teased by her siblings due to her “bald-face,” and is rather resentful of their harsh words. She’s shy, and often goes off walking alone, and prefers the company of one. Tana adores wildflowers, and loves adorning herself with them.

5. Azurei, Male. Azurei is the fifth-born of the dozen, and was named after his unexpected azure-hued pelt. His parents hazard a guess that his blue hues come from his grandmothers’ pelts. Azurei is quick-footed and quick-tongued, being an avid debater. He has a way with words, and often persuades his siblings to go along with his adventurous plans!

6. Alai, Female. Alai is the sixth-born of the dozen, and is noted for her extreme diluted/leucistic pelt. Her white hues glow ambiently, and she’s quite the carefree pretty girl! She loves life, and finds happiness in the smallest and simplest of things. She’s also a pushover, though, and often has difficulty standing up for herself, especially to her older siblings.

7. Malaku, Male. Malaku is the seventh-born of the dozen, and also has a melanistic pelt like his father. His markings are the most subtle and reserved of the litter. He is noted as being sultry, cunning, and wise. He’s particularly fond of caves, and is known as the pup with the best hearing among his littermates.

8. Novei, Female. Novei is quite the little spitfire—she’s very quick to anger, and rather destructive! She’s a perfectionist, and she pushes herself very hard to achieve her goals. She is quick to judge others, which causes many to avoid her. However, she’s also very good at seeing through lies. Although she’s volatile, she’s extremely loyal to her few friends, and will protect them to the end.

9. Calami, Female. Calami is an optimistic, all around happy soul. She’s also a motherly figure among the pups, and goes out of her way to show her love to her siblings. She’s a rampant worrywart, which makes her a rather anxious QuillDog. Calami has an affinity for running water – pools, waterfalls, creeks.

10. Towoi, Male. Towoi and Iowot are twins. Towoi is the youngest male of the bunch, and the jealousy he has for his older siblings is apparent. He absolutely, hates being bossed around, and loves being in charge. The interest in leadership has put him at odds with not only his siblings, but his parents. He loves leading hunting outings.

11. Iowot, Female. Iowot and Towoi are twins. Unline Towoi, Iowot is rather reserved and a “follower” when it comes to daily tasks. She’s much more comfortable being told what to do and following someone else’s lead. However, this mentality has often led to her ideas and opinions on matters being overlooked or ignored. She struggles with speaking up and confidence.

12. Oxai, Female. Oxai is the runt of the litter. Despite her subtly smaller frame, she’s got a big, big heart. She is a dreamer and loves to encourage her friends and siblings. She goes out of her way to be a helpful figure, and holds herself to a very high standard. She considers life a gift, and loves to run!
